(From 2022 Hugh: This post is kinda in poor taste so fair enough if you feel uncomfortable by it.) Hello again folks, hope yis are having a lovely day. Once again I've no ideas for today's blog but I found one that I'll use from an old tab I had up on Safari. Most of it's music lyrics to find the song for or films to bookmark but there was one that I must've found a few months ago on Reddit. This is the Three Questions Game. It's supposed to be a part of relational psychology and to do with how universally, regardless of culture or upbringing, we have a collective association of things to each other.

Before I actually go into this lil game, I think that's pretty cool by itself. Things like facial expressions or emotions. If I smiled right now, pretty much everyone on earth would know that I'm happy. If I scrunched up my face and squinted my eyes, everyone would know that I'm angry, and yet no one taught us that. We just have this innate understanding of how to read other people's emotions, even if they're across the world from us. It's a nice little unifying factor where someone could be talking to you in Swahili and you'd still be able to read their face to know they think you're a dick.

So, games night. Not a very good game, mind you. I could be playing Among Us with my girlfriend or something but no, today I'm interrogating you a tad. Today's blog post is going to end up sounding eerily like a conversation you probably had with your taxi driver years ago. Right so, get a wee pen and scrap of paper out and answer these questions for me. What's your favourite colour? No, this isn't us on a really bad first date, you're psychoanalysing yourself I swear. Now, give me three deep reasons why it's your favourite colour. Like, what does it remind you of, what words come to mind when you think of it and don't be getting shy on the details.

[Insert your response here]

Aw really? That's very interesting. Do tell me more.

[Insert your res-

Oh, our foods here. Thanks for coming out on this date with me. You look great. Now, what's your favourite animal? Gis another three deep/introspective reasons why.

[Insert your response here]

Ah yes, I do love how that animal has that quality. Very cool my guy.

Lastly, what is your favourite form or body of water? Yes, this is the actual question and you have probably left the restaurant at this point in this imaginary first date of ours. Please stay, I'm so alone. But yea, any form of water as in rain, snow, etc. Any body of water as in the ocean, a river, a paddling pool etc. Keep being as deep and thoughtful as possible. What does this body/form of water mean to you? It's really nice to get to know you, by the way. Should we ... kiss ? haha no,,, unless?

[Insert your response here, slap your phonescreen and ring a taxi home]

I think that went really well. We should do that again sometime, what do you think?

Hello?

Are you ignoring me?

Haha, I was just joking. I'm actually a really cool, down-to-earth guy and I've got tons of dates to go on where I can psychoanalyse my partner. You're actually really missing out.

I'm going insane. Yes, so each of these questions and your Very Deep ™ answers are supposed to represent your true feelings subconsciously about crucial elements of your life. Your favourite colour is supposed to represent how you truly feel about yourself. So if you said your favourite colour was blue because you thought it was a cool colour then congratulations, you think you're cool except I don't think you're cool because you won't text me back. Your favourite animal is supposed to represent what you imagine in an ideal life partner. If you thought of a dog because it reminds you of me then I am your ideal life partner so will you please just text me back? Listen, I didn't mean what I said when I said you weren't cool. I know we could be so good together if you'd just give me a chance.

I'm taking a break cause I'm fully milking the shit out of this 'bad first date' gag.

Finally, the question about your favourite form or body of water is supposed to be the truth about your view on your own sexuality, your attitude towards sex and, to some extent, your attitude towards life itself. I'm not sure what the universal connection is between a lake and why I like being the big spoon is but there ya go. I'm not very sure at all how reputable or academic this question game is but it's a bit of a giggle to see how you might feel about yourself and that. Surprisingly enough, I thought the animal one was pretty spot on. I said an elk because I thought they were proud, protective and paternal. They also always remind me of the comfiness of home and I think they're pretty intelligent creatures. True to that, my girlfriend Emma is endlessly witty and intelligent and I do be pretty comfy and at home with her so I feel it was accurate in that sense.

I'll leave the questions during our hot, steamy date to you to think about. Thank you once again for reading, even if the sexual tension was a bit higher than usual. We're less than $100 shy of our our fundraising goal so if you haven't already, I'd really encourage you to donate here. I always appreciate your time for reading these so I'm very grateful to you.
